The global leader in container shipping and ports was looking to obtain operational excellence, control and visibility over its logistics and transportation supply chains in and around the biggest container port on the east coast of Africa. Its shore-based service providers lacked systems and procedures to plan, execute and report stevedoring, tallying, yard and gate activities electronically. This resulted in inefficient operations and a lack of real-time updates on status and location of its cargo and equipment.
